James Belasco, DFNPA, an IT Professional mentor and example of professionalism. He had been awarded MVP by Microsoft as recogniton for promoting the IT Professional. He represented the NPA 2011 as a joint founder of GITCA (Global IT Community Association). Serving business 35 years in IT for legal, research facility design, and most recently retired COO from Agile IT, a cloud-first managed services company and one of the top 100 Cloud Computing Solutions Providers in the world. A four-time Microsoft Cloud Partner of the Year. James continues to serve NPA as a leading visionary for the new NPA Advocator.

James joined the NPA in San Diego 1994, shortly after the Certified Network Engineer Professional Association (CNEPA) became the Network Professional Association (NPA). He served as a leader for Southern Califonia chapters. James has served as a member of the NPA Board of Directors since 2000. He supports the NPA websites: NPA.org, AwardsforProfessionalism.org, CNP.org as well as the NPA Job Board. His passion for ethics and professionalism is exemplified his participation in the Certified Network Professional, Awards for Professionaism, and College of Distinguished Fellows.

He is a past president of the San Diego Chapter of the Network Professional Association (1997 – 2000). Leadership and community involvement began as the student representative to the Poway YMCA in 1970. James joined the Knights of Columbus in 1978. He served as a member of Parish Council for St Charles Catholic Church (1991-93). He is a former member the San Diego Opera Chorus (1985-90) and continues today as a soloist and performer in the Catholic Church. He is 30+ years married with 2 children. In addition to supporting the efforts of the NPA, James is an avid supporter for the efforts of the Friends of the Poor - a non denominational service organization that works in partnership with relief workers in various parts of the world to provide necessary funds, material goods, medicines and food to aid in the alleviation of poverty and suffering, and of Whispering Winds. Additional career accomplishments include free distribution of Microsoft Windows 2000 to all NPA members; development of home heath care business solutions; chair for the Employee Stock Ownership Plan Administrative Committee, a lead member of the negotiation team for ownership change at Earl Walls Associates, Software Test Failure Analyst for . Penultimate Systems Inc.; AutoCAD instructor.

James Belasco lives a sincere set of ethics, fairness and compassion: do the best for the customer, the company, team members, family and self — build and maintain a balance in life filled with enrichment.
