November, 2005 � Columbus , OH - The NPA Chapters held their quarterly Chapter Leader's Forum Meeting on October 12, 2005 . The meeting again proved successful with three Chapter Leader's present. The purpose of the Chapter Leader's Meeting is for the leaders to exchange ideas, goals and advice on how to hold a successful chapter meeting. Representatives from the San Diego , Dayton and Washington/DC Metro Area Chapters were present lending their wisdom and past experiences on productive meetings. The National office provided informative updates to the representatives on the projects taking place within the association.

The first project reviewed was the rejuvenated Certified Network Professional program. The CNP is a designation for IT professionals that is recognized by peers and colleagues and is also known internationally by name.

Another project outlined in the meeting was the �Fellows� program. This is a new membership category for experienced, dedicated members who brand the association name and principle to the networking community.

Other items covered included the deadline for articles for the January issue of the NPA Newsletter. The deadline is December 15, 2005 and all articles must be received by the National office at executivedirector@npa.org to be included in the January issue. The last item and one that is always discussed in the meeting is between the chapter representatives. It is a brainstorming session on membership growth, production, and goals and is the highlight of every meeting.

All chapter officers are invited to the attend the Chapter Leader's Forum Meetings, which are quarterly. The next meeting will take place on January 18, 2006 starting at 6:00 pm PST / 9:00 pm EST.
