Dr. James H. Poisant, Secretary General (WITSA)

This week, Stephen Ibaraki has an exclusive interview with Dr. James (Jim) Poisant.

Dr. James (Jim) PoisantDr. Poisant was appointed Secretary General of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) in 2006. WITSA consists of 83 leading ICT country associations. WITSA members represent over 90% of the ICT industry. WITSA's signature event, the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT), is held annually.

Dr. Poisant held a number of senior-level positions at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). At EDS he was responsible for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, 1994 World Cup (USA) and the 1996 Goodwill Games, St. Petersburg, Russia. Dr. Poisant founded the Walt Disney Company's Business Seminar Division, responsible for People Management and Quality Service seminars and speeches to over 200,000 executives. He held administration and teaching positions at the University of Miami, (FL) and George Mason University (VA).

Dr. Poisant is the author of "Creating and Sustaining a Superior Customer Service Organization." He has a Doctorate and a Master's degree in Public Administration as well as a Master's Degree in Urban Education and Bachelor's Degree in English.
