Mike K Holland

Mike K Holland has worked in the technology arena for more than seven years.  He is currently the IS Director for Speer & Associates, Inc., a consulting company to the financial services industry.  He is also a partner in BHR Solutions, a privately held network consultant corporation located in Atlanta, Ga. He holds certifications in both Microsoft and Cisco. 

At Speer & Associates, Inc, he has taken their information services to a higher playing field.  In 2001, he completely redesigned and implemented an entire new network.  Mr. Holland was successful in bringing this project to completion both under budget by more than $100,000 and well within the defined deadline.  Since the upgrade in technology, Speer & Associates, Inc has seen a drop of incident reports by more than 70%, have total redundancy in risk management & disaster recovery and increased network speeds of more than 150%. 

At BHR Solutions, Mr. Holland is a partner in the consulting firm.  Since taking an active roll in promoting the company with a variety of marketing campaigns and sales initiatives, he has increased revenue growth by 75% in the last two quarters.  For the last quarter alone Mr. Holland has taken the initiative on gaining 4 new contracts since November 2002, which are worth more than $200,000 combined.

Prior to taking his position with S&A and joining BRH Solutions as a partner, he spent a short time with a start-up company called Intelispan.  At Intelispan, Mr. Holland was a lead Project Manager who handled the full process of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting three VPN products.  

Before Intelispan, Mr. Holland worked for LEXIS-NEXIS as a Senior Systems Engineer and Senior Network Engineer.  In this position he was the sole engineer for second and third level technical issues for the southeast region.  While in this position Mr. Holland was recognized by the Senior Director of Customer Service for quick and decisive technical support which caused a competitor to lose its contract with Costal Inc. out of Dallas, TX in 1999. He was also recognized by the Senior Director, Regional Account Manager, and VP of LEXIS for helping secure 15% new growth, with renewals at 12%, for a large Atlanta Law firm, generating an additional $33,270 per month in revenues for 2000.  He also created positive relationships with large accounts, including King & Spalding, Troutman Sanders, Alston & Bird, Coca-Cola, Delta, Dun & Bradstreet, and Powell Goldstein Frazer & Murphy. 

In his spare time, he enjoys his wife Terry, who is a programmer for EDS, and their two Silky Terriers.  He also enjoys reading, playing guitar, and being a  32nd Degree Mason and is an officer of Roswell Lodge #165.
